Clutch fork/slave nuts

Post by Guest »

Hey guys, I can't remember how the nuts that go on the slave go....are they supposed to go behind the clutch fork(on the fork's side of the opening), or before ? The diagram from the Datsun Parts lists is not very clear.......

I believe they go between the cylinder and the fork. Rounded nut toward the fork lever and the jam nut toward the cylinder. That way they can beadjusted to take up the slack.

Bucky:

Thank you very much for the info... it makes sense, and I feel now a bit..."senseless" because I went back, and with your info, and the thing in front of me, it is embarrasingly obvious!

Thanks once again for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!
