can i get emails on selected threads?

hi all, bob smith here, from columbus, ohio. i get emails
from the roadster list. can i choose to get selected posts
from, say, the tech. forum, or such, here on 311.org?
i didnt notice any obvious way to do that. i guess i could
make here my home page, when i come online. did i answer
my own question? should i think before typing?

The e-mail Roadster list and these forums are separate entities. You're apparently already subscribed to the e-mail one.

For this forum:

You CAN request that an e-mail get sent to you when a new reply is posted to a specific thread but you must first post to that thread to have it so;

OR

You can key on the "Subscribe Topic" link just above the top of the first post to the thread.

You can subscribe to a forum by clicking the "suscribe forum" at the top of the list. I just learned this...after you asked, I looked.
If you chose to in user controls, you can subscribe to any thread you post to, or you can click to watch any post.
