well I guess its time to introduce myself officially since I have been "lurking" here for almost a year and have been busy involved with mitsu vr4 for awhile.
I have been into datsuns for awhile since the mid 80's when my older bro got me into 510s and this is my first roadster but with all datsun gearheads I always wanted one for years but could not find the excuse to drive a convertible since there was that stigma about it being a chick car and all just like all the miata drivers too right LOL.
anyways after growing out of that phase I decided the wife and I had to get an early mid life crisis mobile since then I have no regrets, my 2 little ones actually gets some hands on training on the fairlady also which is great since I want them to grow up apreciating all things about cars, oh thats right something about me well I own many cars over the years mostly datsuns one of them including a rare 67.5 datsun 510, your probably telling yourself what datsun never had a 67.5 510 but I had proof that I did since the vin # was 001575 and prod. date was aug of '67 I wish I never had sold that car but it made way for my 1800sss bluebird so it wasn't a bad deal, I wish I had the space I have now to stock up on all my toys I had before.
I just recently found the Historical plates I had gotten for the bluebird way back in 1992 and it has yet to have been used since it was the start of the long and still continuing hibernation until the time is right-it will probably be another 10 years before I get around to "restoring" it properly as my life with my kids comes first now but thats ok since its fun to see them get excited for me when I get small bits for the car from time to time.
Passion for cars in general keeps me going and hopefully the fairlady will keep it going for more years to come .
