Antonio Welcome! The Vin number should be stamped (faintly) in the top of the frame rail on the right side in the engine bay IIRC. It's usually covered by grease and dirt, so you'll need some cleaner and a little brush.

Welcome Antonio. Mark pointed you to where the VIN is stamped on the frame. Ask any questions you might have as there are a few folks here that can answer them for you. Enjoy.

Steve

Welcome. I'm also redoing a '66.

It's the driver's side frame rail (which would be the right side if you're standing in front of the car  ). A wire brushing should reveal it.

Do you have title? If so, there will be a VIN though whether it's the same VIN you won't know until you can get the number off the frame. :smt028

Are you sure it is SPL310 and not SPL311?

Hi Antonio, if I read between the lines there must be an interesting or complicated story behind that car. DO TELL ! Secrets safe here. 8)

There are a few cosmetic and mechanical things to help you determine the year of production, but maybe that's a hybrid or composite of more than one car.

A few pictures might provide a spotter's guide in the time ahead, but best wishes regardless of the car's place in the chronology.

i have no idea what went into the car before i got it, i got it from a friend of my family and i have no idea where he got it from or did to it. i just like its a good looking classic car but from what i can gather the body looks like a 66 now if the fram for some strange reason is to another car perhaps an earlier year then i have quite a bit of research ahead of me to find what happened to the car, ill be taking a lot of pictures as i go along with rebuilding the car i post some up soon to get some input on the car
