Has anyone got any info on the Almex wheels I just bought for my roadster? I've been searching the internet for info, but not much. I want to know the model and year it was released. Any info would be great! It's 14" PCD 114 offset 5.5". Thanks! :D

Here are some pictures:

Thanks Leigh! Been looking for old school wheels for the roadster for quite sometime now. When I spotted these Almex wheels at a tire shop, I instantly knew that Christmas was going to come early for me :D

Thanks BlackEddy! I got it for $155 and the good thing is that the tire shop had recently refurbished it...about a month ago. The guy thought the set was made by Rota (local wheel manufacturer), but upon closer inspection at the back I noticed that it was actually "Made in Japan." The only downside is that I've never heard of the brand before. :(

You should PM Victor, he's the Japanese wheele guru. http://www.311s.org/phpBB3/ucp.php?i=pm ... pose&u=311

They look great, regardless of who made them.

I have seen them before. A local Vendor (Takumi Project - Now closed), had 3 sets a couple of years ago, on discount sale. However, they were plain cast, with no paint or polish. I had NO IDEA that they would look that amazing!

A web search for Almex came up with nothing except your site!

Then I translated "Almex" into katakana = アルメックス
and came up with lots and lots of references to a major tokyoo high tech electronics manufacturer and specialized aluminum foundery

then changed my search to アルメックス PCD (PCD - a wheel specific term) and found out Almex made a lot of different wheel styles.

Wow! That translation proved to be the missing link. I wonder if Almex is still making wheels or if it already closed down. They have some nice old school designs. Too bad I can't read Japanese, but the pictures are great! Thanks Victor for posting the links! :D
