HI all:
I am a retiree , who futzes with unusual cars to keep me out of the bars.
Usually I deal in Volvos or German cars, but this 1600 found me and demanded to be taken home.
It's a fence sitter ,as it was parked under a tree in 1983 and ignored until last month . 25 Northeast winters have done their work on the sheet metal, but the frame and running gear seem remarkably sound.
Feel free to encourage me in either direction.
thanks
Skip

Hi Skip,
Don't think that you will give up drinking just cause you got this car LOL
Some times they can be challenging!

Welcome to the fray. If you are a bodyman, sounds like you will be busy and happy.
You may want to contact Nathan in Troy NY if you need stuff. He has a boatload.

Also ebay seller Downhillbill is in Rochester area.

Two different Nathans. (I wonder if either has any connections with Nathan hotdogs...)

Hummm. Bars and Hot Dogs, we have a nice theme going here
Oh, Welcome Skip
As I restored my car it did keep me out of the bars. I put a Refrigerator in the garage and kept it stock with Beer

There were times when that held the MOST important toll for the job.
Good luck and I hope you get her up and going

Back on topic. Skip, if you can find a donor body, you can redo the car easily. I would suggest making the car drive and drive it to see if you like it. If you do, find a body (Downhill bill from eBay may have something - I have one, but it may not be better than what you have.) redo it and swap bodies.
