For the second year running I have been invited to enter a Datsun Roadster in the race car parade that runs from Infineon to downtown Sonoma under full police escort. Most of the cars are not street legal (i.e. Lister Jaguar, Lotus 11's, Can-Am cars, vintage Trans-Am cars, vintage formula cars) but some local entrants are also invited. Once at the plaza we do a parde lap around the park before parking for a car show and food/wine tasting event.

This year the roadster (well a good portion of it) ended up on the front page of the local newspaper.

It's a blast to barrel thorugh red lights on the main drag of your home town at 90mph while the highway patrol cheers you along.

I'm working on it. I shot over 500 pictures last weekend. I'll post as soon as I get them uploaded. I'm still waiting for the ones I shot on film. I got a few good ones of Steve Link in his 510, a few formula 5000 shots, and a boatload of Alfa shots, as well as a few lotus shots. I was sort of on assignment by Dennis Currington to get some shots of John Morton racing a Lotus 23 and of Tony Adamowicz in his F5000 car. I have an awesome one of Datzoom leaving the show.

I'm hoping to get some of them posted by later this evening.
