I think there is a thread about an intermittent short in the headlight wiring.
But no, a wink is better. :)

Finally, fall is arriving in Houston. Drove to work in the dark at 5:45AM in the roadster! Still amazed that the car's 47 year old Toshiba Headlights still work well.

Dan, that truly is a wonderful example of a beautiful car... it always looks very classy and balanced.

Thanks for the kind words, Greg. If only you saw the interior :)

I've been working on the car over the past few weeks cleaning up the interior. On Sunday I removed the driver side door panel (circa 1965) to dye the original panel, which had faded to several shades of ugly red. I shot the first two coats of dye on the panel, but ran out of time to complete the job.

Now, I'm driving around with mismatched door panels, which are half installed and missing the window winders.

I drove the Roadster to work today. I had her out all afternoon yesterday for a drive to the coast and back home through the redwoods. My daily driver is getting jealous.

Dan that sure is a pretty shot.
It's giving off a sort of "undiscovered classic" aura there in your parking garage.

Did you have to scout out just the right spot to provide a buffer from oversized and ill-parked vehicles to either side ?

Car looks great, really does. Just pull the tonto over the seats if there's a problem, but if it looks lived-in, so much the better.

Here in Houston, the parking spots are HUGE. No worries about door dings, I had several feet between myself and the next car.

The picture was a quick snapshot with a cell phone, nothing fancy.I need to post some new pictures of the rest of the progress on the car (Including how I re-colored the rear turn signals. Stay tuned.

Gotta love daylight savings time. Drove the Roadster to work and came home via the scenic route - Woodside - Hwy 84 - Skyline - Hwy 9. She's happy with the new front shocks and brakes and asked, "What took you so long?"

I gave everyone along the 5 mile route to work a 7 am wakeup alarm this morning. Heck, even at 3000 rpm, its likely got a 90dB exhaust.

That's weird. I was running a header to cherry bomb, and a monza tip and it wasn't that loud. Considering I have no muffler.

I drove my roadster to work 3 days this week. Going to be too hot here soon to have much fun.

At Laguna Seca in 2011 I was measured at 99.5dB at 200 feet (might be 100 feet, I can't remember.) All I know is that I was just under the sound limit that day (I think it was 102)

Like Alvin, I have a 90+ mile commute-- lots of fun this time of year. Mine has been getting lots of exercise driving down to the 'day job'. Here it is parked out of the sun last summer:
