front break calipers

I'm finally getting ready to fix my breaks and seem to remember seeing a post here referencing cars that came equipped with the same front calipers as a '66 --311. I think there was a Jaguar and a very early 240Z, and maybe something else. I looked for it and can't find it. If anyone knows models and years that would match, I'm pretty sure I can get the re-built calipers very cheap from a supplier here in LA. Or maybe I'm just dreaming. If I can, I'd be happy to post the info.

Thanks

Scott,

You are confusing pads and calipers. Certain Jaguar pads will fit in the front roadster calipers. Volvo front calipers work with minor modifications. It is in the "Brake Section" on the main site. There is an on going discussion about another 4 piston caliper conversion in the forum.

I could swear I read someplace that the same stock calipers were used on another production car. Maybe it was just that the rebuild kitwould match. Thanks for your reply.

The same design caliper was used on the Jaguar XKE (series 1 I believe) the Twin Cam MGA, some Jaguar sedans, and I believe the Toyota 2000gt. (could be wrong about the Toyota though...) The ones on the Datsun were built under license. The rebuild kits and pads from the above should fit.

Quick question, do you know if the calipers are MK1 or MK2?
