What have I done!!!!

Hi,
My name is Nick and I have just bought a SP310 1500. Bascially a great starting point but is going to be a lot a work and a lot of fun.
Hope to get some good resources and encouragement from this group as I progress through the restoration. Will post some photo's soon. At the moment it has a relativley new paint job on it but the body is rough underneath so off comes the paint and fix the metalwork properly.
I had one back in the 70's which was a hoot for a 18 yo. Now its still a hoot in my 40's.

Hey Nick -welcome! We look forward to seeing the progress on your new project. Are you sure you will stop at just one? Make sure you register your project in the registry here.

I was wondering about the wheels, they are datsun bolt ons. Look very nice, will look better after a good clean!
Has anyone else seen these???
The paint job on this is a bit rough and I don't know what is underneath so I'm taking it all back. Started the bonnet this arvo. A big learning curve.!!!!!! Thats where I need you guys help/advice/jokes/encouragement and most of all dealing with common nutters. (Common as in same not run of the mill)

Oh, no problem....we're very free with all of that and then some. You'll just have to separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.

Hey Nissanman,
The slide of Nick's car is in backwards. I can tell by the sterring wheel being on the wrong side.

Welcome Nick, nice looking car you scored there.

Welcome Nick! I will give you the same advise that I try to give all new Roadster owners. Fix what needs to be fixed to be safe and reliable and DRIVE THE CAR. Don't yank it apart as soon as you get home. Drive it to find out what you like and what you don't before you throw money into it...
Enjoy the ride!
