New guy here - beginning the hunt...

Post by BlackEddy »

Hi guys,

New member here from Squamish BC, Canada.

A little about me: I've owned quite a few vintage vehicles over the years (cars and scooters mostly) and am now on the hunt for a roadster. I'm hoping for something fairly turnkey, being completely original is less important to me than being reliable, a Sunday cruiser basically. We thought we had found a nice one here in Vancouver but turns out it was already sold.

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about these cars and maybe running in to some of you at meets down the road!

If anyone knows of any nice roadsters going up for sale on the West Coast feel free to email me at lucasadrian @ gmail.com !

Cheers!

Funny, the 68 I'm getting ready to sell has a club sticker on it from B.C.
On the east coast, so would be along trip home.

Thanks for the welcome everybody!

Well, I did it... I bought one yesterday! Its a '67 1600 in pretty good condition and I am stoked! It needs a few little things here and there but it's generally in great shape. The guy I bought it from has owned it since 1977 and also owns 3 other roadsters - so he knows his stuff!

Here she is:

Many thanks to Ross Mullen for helping me connect with some good local sellers!

ppeters - funny you should say that its hard to have just one: on the way home my wife was talking about how much fun it would be to do a full resto on one. Ummm, OK honey. :D
Sounds like a good excuse to expand the garage to me...
