Still a work in progress but you can view it here

http://www.311s.org/Registry_DB/general ... r_list.php

I still have over 1400 cars to get entered. If you would like to update your entry just email me the details at 67datroad311s.org and I will take care of it.

Thanks.

Steve

VERY COOL! 8)
Not to create more work for anyone, but I've always thought it would be cool to have a few other fields in the registry - modifications, restored/original, and maybe another option for condition between daily driver and restoration project, since a lot of the cars aren't daily drivers, but they're in good shape. Just my thoughts - I wouldn't expect that you'd make any changes, but I thought I'd share.

Great work with this.

Ray,

Yes, I will fix that for you. I have not entered any cars in the database driven registry in a long time. If it was not for Enrique the original registry would be behind as well. Some day when I have some time I will see about adding some additional fields to the database driven version as well as the rest of the cars. 8)

Thankfully.... I've been busy.... with $ generating jobs. Otherwise it would be completely up to date.

I haven't forgotten it, and I will get it back up to date with Steve's help, but as you guys can understand, those things I'm addicted to, (Food, Shelter, etc.) take priority.

The correlation to the Australia club was probably an oversight of mine... sorry. As far as adding more fields, the database version would be easier to have that incorporated into. The other, in my experience, would require literally a complete rewrite or at least numerous inputs, edits and checks, that's because of the way it is written. Steve may have a way of doing it quickly, but I'll admit to still being a neophyte with the coding.

Thanks guys for all the hard work on the Registry. Noticed there haven't been any updates to the 'Old' Registry for quite a while. Can I help out?

If you guys really want to help Enrique and I will put a tutorial together and give you access. A little knowledge HTML and FTP is required. I can easily give you access to the database driven version. Been really busy with the real job lately and Enrique has as well.

Send it. If I can only do a little at a time, that's a start.

Fixed my boo boo Ray. Not sure how I ended up with an Australian Club. Cut and paste most likely. Cheers.

Steve, there is no way to extract the old database and convert it to the new database?
I am pretty computer liiterate, if you have the old database type and the new database type, maybe I can figure it out for you. Is there any sort of export feature?

I have limited computer skills, but if there is tedious no-brainer task like renaming photos or stuff like that, glad to do a piece.

The old registry is not database driven where as the new one is. I can import everything from the old registry but the pictures via csv file but the info has to be submitted manually into the csv first. I have a bunch of it done but it is tedious work going through the registry and adding them. I have added a bunch since the last time I was working on the file so you would have to compare and make sure you got them all. Once the database driven version is up to date I will add them as I go. I can send you the csv file if you think you want to take a stab at it. Frankly, I have not had the time to do it lately. Let me know. Thanks for the offer of help.
