New to forum and to datsun roadsters

I've always liked these cars, but never really did any research on them. I have been looking at a car in particular that is in a junkyard, and was hoping someone could tell me what year it is?
How is the aftermarket for these cars, or is there still a good supply of new old stock stuff floating around?
My garage currently houses a few GM A-bodies and I am excited that this would not take up too much room in the garage should I decide to fish it out.

Welcome! That appears to be a 68, but the VIN will tell for sure. Looks pretty complete from what I can see. There is a good supply of parts, some are scarce, some are pricey. What do you plan with it?

Oh, if I wind up getting it it will probably be mostly stock restoration, but I could easily see making it into a little hot rod. It doesn't have a motor on it.
The one next to it looks similar, and between the 2 I could probably have a complete car.
Hardly any rust in this part of the country, which is a plus.
It is between these and a 61 olds 88!!

Well, I am not an olds fan, so you know my choice! That looks like a solid base. Stock engines are not tough to come by, and you can get later engines as well. Lots of options there! If it is as rust and dent free as it looks, that is a nice base to start with.
What part of the country are you in?

It appears that the blue car has an old Oregon license plate?

Hey Web,
Those are OR plates on that car. Where's this yard? Not that I'd snake you or anything. There used to be a 67 1600 in the brambles in the A1 Light Truck yard in PDX. Also, those are MGB wheels on that 68 Roadster. You better hope that Lucas didn't make them.

Yep those are OR plates and it is in OR. Eastern oregon as you can probably tell by the sagebrush! And no I don't mean the "eastern oregon" that is by Bend!

Looks like roadsters on both sides of that '68 2000. Even if you don't get 'em, take pics and get VINs to add to the Roadster Registry.

if you DO get it, I have a 1600 and 5 spd from mine that i'm ready to get rid of. (to make room for something more "non-traditional"
)
i never tried to make it run, but it was complete and the motor turns well. Previous owner said it ran when he parked it a year previous.
i'm in utah, so we could probably arrange a meet in the middle....

Tell you what, Springtime is here and the Roadsters are coming out to play. Were it me, and had the cash and space, I'd buy all 3, get titles, pick all the stuff needed to complete what you want, and sell the other 2 on Ebay ASAP. If they are as rust free as you think, you might make out. Good top bows sell for $100.00 + just as an example. The more you have to start with, less you need to buy.
You might even be able to get together with someone else here and buy them together.

Part availability for the roadster is fairly good so getting one of those cars back on the road should not be that difficult.
Also, this forum is great resource for ironing out any technical difficulties you may encounter.
The 61 olds 88 may be a little more thirsty on gas than the Roadster, and these days gas is not getting any cheaper.
