The 2nd NY, NJ, CT Datsun Roadster Meet will be held Saturday, May 17, from 12 noon to 6 pm. The event will be held at the Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Pleasantville, New York 10570. Link to the brewery website and directions; http://www.captainlawrencebrewing.com/

The event is open to all Datsun Roadsters, and is not limited to Roadsters from the Tri State area. There is an open invitation to all DRONE and MADROC members, in addition to anyone who would like to make the drive and attend. For those who do not have a running Roadster please consider attending, this will be a great opportunity to get mechanical advice and meet your fellow Roadster owners.

Last years, under rainy skies, 5 Roadsters were in attendance along with 8 additional Roadster owners. Link to last years pictures;

The Captain Lawrence Brewery is owned by my son and May 17 is the 3rd anniversary of the Brewery opening. There will a barbeque , live music through out the day and of course " beer " . ( there will be a small charge for the barbeque ).

Hotels:

You will note, there is nothing really inexpensive in Westchester.
In the immediate area ( 5 to 10min ) drive from Pleasantville are the towns of " Hawthorne, Rye, Rye Brook, Armonk ,Mt Kisco, Tarrytown and Elmsford " which are all very nice areas and should be safe to park the car. A note about some of the Tarrytown and Elmsford hotels. Some of these hotels are fairly large, catering to the business traveller on the 287/87 corridor and have big parking lots.

I would avoid "White Plains, New Rochelle, and Yonkers" as these are larger cities and the hotels are generally downtown.

Any specific questions please post here or e-mail me;

Had fun last year (rain be darned) and plan to attend this year as well. Fabulous beer and old Datsuns - who needs heaven?

I have another 2k on the road this year and will probably bring it. Barn fresh after 20 years in hiding.

Count me in, I now have a roof!!! I think the Maryland contingent is planning on attending. Datsun1500 and I have a 1500 mile road rally the next weekend, New York to New Orleans, so he should be coming up with our lovely $250 rally vehicle, hopefully it will make it.

Sunny warm weather would be a nice switch from last year although after a couple of those high test beers I didn't care much.

I don't care if it's snowing, I'll be there. Have to plan on a few non-drinking hours before the ride back. 2 of those high test beers and I'm gonna need a nap. Maybe a good idea to have my wife learn to drive a stick.
The rally should be quite silly, last years events included "Elvis Day"..

As a backup, if there is a chance of the "R" word, I'll make my daughter drive up in my pickup and bring a couple of canopys, have a 10x10 and a big one, 10x20,

BUT WE WON"T NEED THEM!
