All,
This is a run that I'm doing with a few Z buddies, anyone is welcome to join! The backside of Mt. hamilton via 130 is a scenic route that will blow your mind. The terrain wil make you feel like you are in another state!
Plan:
On Sunday this is the plan I came up with, it allows our afternoon to be free.

-Depart around 9:00 am and head south on 101 to Alum Rock Road, east to Mt. Hamilton Road (Hwy 130)

-Head southeast on 130 all the way to the summit of Mt. Hamilton. Take a break at the summit of Mt. Hamilton. Bring a thermos of coffee or tea, and you can use the bathrooms at the observatory. Probably get there around 10:15 - 10:30.

-Head out, take San Antonio Road east to the Junction, where Mines Road and Del Puerto Canyon Road split.

break at the little cafe at the Junction? If not open then wait until Livermore.

From the Junction continue on down San Antonio/Mines Road to Livermore and have lunch at Emil Villa's Hick'ry Pit. There are only two turns - bear right at the bridge where Mines joins Del Valle Road, and left where Mines joins Livermore/Tesla Road. The Hick'ry Pit Restaurant is at the far east side of the first shopping center on the right as you come into town. Other food choices too. Eat on the porch if it is nice, inside if the weather is bad. After lunch go back either on Calaveras Road or on 84.

No worries we will do another run, roadsters only.
This will be a survey run as well to see if the roads are safe/clear.

I did a run up over Mt Tam this afternoon and the roads wern't bad. Had one roadster tag along (I drove the Alfa as the roadster is up valley in the Bat Cave, former home to the Alfa). I had no oil pan strikes, (yes its lower than the roadsters pan). It would be cool to do a run up there some time.

I really wish I could have made the run with you guys. I love that road and it is a great time of the year to do it. I dont think I will be able to make Solvang or Shasta this year but I'm hoping to go to local events or runs. I havent done anything new or exciting with DATSTER but its running great. I hope to see you soon.
