Are there any differences in trunk/ door locks between a 66

Post by Ratster »

and a 70. My trunk lock is destroyed so I need to replace that, and I have no keys for the ratster at all. I was going to take them out and send them to a smith (the iginition switch is already there). But I just saw a set on Ebay and thought it might be a better route. I know the ignition sw is wrong, but what about the others???

And if I have a key for the 66, can the locksmith match it up to a 70 ignition???

I await your answers, oh wise ones

I think the trunk locks are the same, but I haven't seen a 70 in a long time...

I know the 66 and 70 ignition blanks are different...

You may try Rallye's website. They list the compatibility of a lot of parts...

The 67.5 thru 70 were all the same. The 65 thru 67 early style locks were slightly different. It does not look like an early lock will fit a late car.
