fuel gauge and temp gauge connection

Post by phoxz »

Hello, does anyone know if these two gauges are connected in anyway? Both stopped working at the same time and there are no blown fuses.

Try this replace thefuse sometimes the fuse will go bad and the wire looks intact, but has burned away just inside the cap. The other thing I have done is disconnect the voltage reg and then reconnect see if that works.

As Russ stated there is a small rectangular voltage regulator right under the steering wheel/column. Double check the wires going to it. Clean up the connections and put them back on. These things are still available from the dealer last time I checked. There are part numbers for them on the common part number list. There is also a little blurb on the gauge voltage regualtor in the electrical section of the main site.
