Ah come on, Alvin. Warn us before you post that MG stuff. My PC monitor started leaking oil as soon as I clicked the link.

Well, semi on topic, I was trial fitting the Rover 3.9 in the "extra " roadster. Seems to be a major clearance issue with the oil pump/filter asy and the crossmember. Other than that, nice drop in fit.

Interesting side note, the oil cooler sandwich adapter that bolts on to the Rover oilfilter mount is a perfect fit on a U-20 oil filter mount, would work perfectly. These have to be dirt cheap in the junkyards. Need an 1 1/4" wrench to remove.

More news as it happens

I already tried that, He's claiming broken computer
It is fun to abuse little Triumphs, I have to get one. My Wife says the roadster makes her feel taller, I should get her a Spitfire. She's odd, besides obvious wierd stuff like marrying me and liking Sid, she wants a Nash Metropolitan, now there is a swap canidate.

I'm betting less than an hour Alvin posts photos of a VG30 powered Metro

A Metropolitan, eh? They don't go around turns too well, so exaggerating that with a small engine swap with a slightly larger engine may be fun. Something like this:

Just a 460 Ford...

Ok, how about a little Italian? I don't know if these pictures will be viewable by you guys but what the heck. Personally I think this guy should have left the correct engine in the car, but we all know my view on engine swaps.

Granted the Alfa Nord 2L is a gutless unwonder, but with a turbo everything is better. I'd turbo mine if it wasn't as rare, correct and original.
