Installing TO bearing/clutch fork

Ok, I have the engine hoist, clutch, and all the other things ready to connect engine and tranny(4-speed), but I don't know how the clamp (or clip, depending on how you call it!) that secures the TO bearing assembly to the clutch fork goes. the open side is supposed to slide into the fork, or should it go the other way around? The diagram I saw in this site's transmission section doesn't clear up this. Help!

I see no one has answered you as yet. I cannot help either.
I know how they go back together but without having one in front of me I find it very difficult to describe without confusing you even further. I guess that will be a good thing to take a picture of the next time I have an engine and tranny out. It is really pretty easy. Sorry I could not be of more help. Anyone else?

I would offer help if it were a 5-speed.
If someone out has a pulled 4-speed sitting. A digital photos of that side of bell housing will speak a thousand words...

Hey Steve.....and Minh:
Minh brings an interesting point...I do have a digital camera, but since I'm one of those "technology-retarded" guys, I have no idea of how to post the picture of my tranny's problem area. I don't know if I can put a link (or HOW to put a link!) or paste image on a message. Can someone give me some technology 101 crash course?

Snap the pic, download it off of your camera to your PC. Send me an email with the picture as an attachment. I will post in the PublicPics folder on the website and provide you the address to it. Not too hard heh!

Jorge, if you dont mind, I can come by on the weekend or maybe sunday evening to snap a picture and show it to everybody here. You live in torrance right? About 15 minutes away frmo me, and that's not far at all [:)]

By Golly I think he has it. Here is a picture of the throw-out bearing properly installed on the clutch fork. We will save it for future reference.

I want to thank all the help and usefull insight I got here. Steve was kind enough to post a link to the pics I took......and Who would had known.......I put the T/O bearing's clamp the right way! The pic can help anyone who ends up as puzzled as I..(well, some of us) was.
Oh! LongBeach311 (don't know the real name!) thanks for offering help with taking the pics, I didn't respond because I went out of town Friday, came back last night. I'll be mounting the engine and transmission this weekend, feel free to stop by and look at my "almost re-born baby" and at what I've done.
