Just received a heads up from the disorganizers. Next Iron Bottom (the 10th) will depart the rose bowl on Thursday April 10th, 2008 at 7:30am.

For those of you who have never done this, this is a 3 day event, covering about 1000 miles of mostly fun roads. All kinds of cars turn up, this year featured a 1937 Lagonda (one of 18 built), the ex-Les Sylvia, 4+ roadsters, 2 cadillac dropheads, Z's, Alfas, Facel Vega, and of course the ever popular BAR-CAR.

Make your reservations in Paso Robles and come and spend 3 joyous days of perfect motoring. Victor has posted some video of the roads he travelled this year, you can see for yourself that this is what roadsters are made for, (can you say Naciemiento/Ferguson or Carmel Valley Road)

NO COST, unlike the California Mille (other than gas etc.) and a real hoot!.

All you have to do is turn up at the Rose Bowl, get a map and then you are off along with 70-80 other gear heads.

The request is for pre 1975 cars only.

So, mark your calendars.

Peter
