15x6 Panasports - a couple other questions

Greetings,

So i've been going through and reading a variety of posts about wheels, tires, offsets, etc... and i'm learning tons but what I can't seem to find is information supporting that 15x6 Panasports will fit on a stock 1967 1600. I'm planning on doing the 195/50/15 setup (would prefer to put a 205/50/15 but I think that requires some rolling which I'm not really into) and from the info I've gathered on here it sounds like they will fit with out any complications and shouldn't rub. Am I right with that thought process? A gentleman down the road from me who works at a local tire and wheel shop thinks they would fit but can't confirm so I figured I would tap into this vast knowledge base.

Secondly, when I upgrade the suspension (Comp springs / KYB) will that impact this original proposed tires setup (195/50/15 on 15x6 Panasports)?

My current roadster came with some old white walled ply tires that are slowly smooting out the flat spots and hitting any kind of groove in the road makes driving this rig on the HWY a little scary so I'm trying to upgrade the wheels / tires and then ultimately the suspension.

If this info is listed in another post blantly, my sincere apologies - I've gone through quite a bit of them but can't find this definitive info.

Thanks!

Jesse

I run 15 x 6 Panasports on my SRL 311 67.5 and they fit with 205 50 15 tires. My fenders have been rolled a little and the tires clear no problem.

A good tire store will mount up a set of tires and check for clearance. So if you think that you might go with the larger size ask them to check for you.

Best,

Ron

The key point to get any wheel to fit is the offset. Anywhere from 12 to 25 offset should work with the 195's on a 6" wheel. If you go to a 205, you may encounter some interior or exterior rub, depending on the offset. Rolling the fenders is pretty easy and will not damage your paint if you are careful. You might find it a good option if you rub on the outside. If you rub on the inside, wheel spacers can be had on eBay in sizes as thin as 1/8". Good luck. Dewey
