Just got back from a weekend at the glen. Will be going back for the vintage festival. Love watching the roadsters race at the track especially Dick Tillenger. Hope he's there again this year.

Hello All,
I am forwarding the Email from Dana of DRONE regarding the Watkins Glen Roadster meet this year. I will be bring some stuff myself for the raffle. Any questions can be forwarded to Dave via the phone number on the bottom of the email.
Thanks, Charlie
Hey...and welcome to the 1st Glen official update...

The Good NEWS:

1) Sapporo is supporting us again. Please take pics of their product and
our smiling faces/flashy cars so we can show them that their product is
getting exposed (you can email me the pics thetk5@netzero.net). In Boston,
they've been doing a lot of more highbrow events...we're lucky they're
sticking with us.

2) Tshirt preorder... Since we've been overordering the last few
years...let's try this...T's the day of the event will be 20....in advance
$15 (it has to be paypal thetk5@netzero.net) or check/mo to Datsun Dave c/o
130 Parker Rd Needham MA 02494 and received by 8/18). If you preorder, a
long sleave T can be had (add $2.50) as well as sweatshirts (add $9 for
normal, $12 for a hoodie).

We have left over 06's too...$10.

Shipping...$7 and $1.50 additional per extra shirt...others hand delivered
at the Glenn.

Any money raised by the Ts goes to covering renting the park and/or putting
money up for next year.

THE BAD NEWS:

Because of some miscommunications...no preplanning has gone into the
event...we have not secured the park nor trophies...I'm sorry...nor donors
for the raffle. Your assistance would be greatly appreaciated if you can
handle any of these things. my cell is 617-877-7453. dtk

Any hotel/motel suggestions, or did anyone reserve a block of rooms?

If you go to the DRONE site(link in sig) and then to the events page you will find a link to the Granprix Festival site. From there you should be able to find motel info. There are lots of motels/hotels and camps in the area. We stay at The Golden Knight Inn but I don't know if there are any rooms left. If you know Mark Dent you may want to contact him as I'm sure he has already checked on availabilities.

I will hopefully be arriving at the Glenn between 1 -2pm on Friday.

What are the plans for Friday and where at the track does everyone meet on Saturday.

Friday is the big party in dowtown. Saturday, eveyone usually meets at the state park parking lot which is right on the beginning of Franklin St. It is where they hold the Concours D"Elegance show right on the main drag in downtown. You should bring some Roadster Beer and I am sure you could sell a bunch to Roadster people.
