AM Radio

Does anyone have the diagram and specs for the stock 1968 AM Radio? My friend is offering to refurb mine for me and I'm trying to make it easier for him.

Thanks

Could this same friend convert a radio so that it controlled a modern stereo mounted in the trunk? Maybe with a CD changer?

I've been tempted to try to use the older radio for an on/off, maybe even including volume and selection between AM, FM and CD. I would be happy if I had to open the trunk to change stations, but if I could toggle between bands and the CD, that would give me enough choices for each drive...

BTW - I do not have a diagram...Never seen one, that might be a hard item to find...TR

Hi TR:

My buddy says it's going to cost at least 30 dollars in parts to repair the thing! After which I will probably get an IPOD with earphones for driving! It's ok, I still need to listen so something and the bleeding solex's make so much noise I can't hear much any how!
