I've had a ton of problems with my Roadster one thing then another ! It is a 1969 SPL 311 1600 Roadster in stock condition ! My question this time is about the vaccum line on the distributor where does it go to on the carbuerators ? I need someone to describe where it attaches to ?
THANKS !! I will give all an minor apperance thing you can do to the roadsters to enance their beauty ! Purchase a pair of headlight half moon covers from the 60's and this is a drastic enhancement to the beautiful roadster !!!

I have seen a lot of cars with the distributer vacuum advance line connected to the manifold and then wondered why they would go through the hassle of putting a nipple on the carb in addition to the easy to tap manifold. My only guess is that the pulses from the intake are muted more when tapped from the carb instead of the manifold, thus producing a more steady vacuum signal...
I even saw a car that had the line attached to the manifold and the nipple on the carb wide open, the car sure ran better when the line was put in the proper location and the manifold plugged. The vacuum leak was killing the rear carb's chance at functioning...
Was the nipple on the manifold for some piece of smog equipment that has been removed by 99% of the owners??? I dunno, TR
