convertible frame restoration ideas

Post by Linda »

Hello List,
I'm interested in some restoration ideas for my convertible frame. I know I could just primer it and spray it silver or black....flat, enamel, metallic? Or perhaps sand and polish the metal, but that is pretty intensive. Has anyone plated the frame or is that even possible. Any photos of your ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Linda

Les CDM used to refurbish them. A friend had one done and it looks pretty sweet. As though I recall it was not too exspensive either.

Hi Linda,

Les @ CDM is doing mine now, before fitting the new soft top. I'll let you know how it went when I get it back.

Soft top renewal

Post by Chopper pilot »

Can we get an idea of the cost to have CDM do the renewal, and install soft top material.

One of the first things on my list when she gets running.

You bet. Not sure how much it's going to be yet. Although the soft top itself was $385 (w/ removeable rear window). I'll post as soon as I have the price.
