Tacho Cable.

Post by sunbeam590 »

Hi,
I have finally managed to remove my Tacho, and it is now being rebuilt, it was necessary to remove the steering column to get it out, now I need to know if the new Tacho cable runs thru the box section piece that holds the steering column up, I have put a couple of pics of it on my web page, it seems about the best place to run it.. there was no cable when I bought the car. once again I am relying on the great advice available here....
Thanks all........

I think its supposed to run just above the colum however good luck getting it to screw into the back. Last summer I spent the better part of 4 hrs with mine, I gave up and routed it a different way that seemed to be more smooth anyway. I'd go look at it but the car isn't here. It might be easier with the steering out of the way but when I did it it was a huge p.i.t.a.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!
