SoCalROC run to Classic Datsun in VISTA, CA. Feb-March

Run to Classic Datsun in Vista,Ca potential dates are:
Sunday Feb 25 or Saturday March 3. This will be a run through the Palomar Hills and then to Classic Datsun to see the shop and buy parts.
This is about 87 Miles from Whittier where I am.
I'm thinking Sunday to avoid the crowds heading south saturday to the border.
Please post availablity and Ideas I'll work out the details. Will try to have lunch set up at the shop. My turn!

If I can get a new battery for my car, I should be in. A nice carb tune(sloppy rich) and im good. Havent driven the car no where past 3 miles in the past 6 months? Keep me posted..

So, do you have a firm date yet?
I will tell you they are tearing up the street in front of Les's shop currently so it might be a little tricky to get into his driveway for the next few weeks.
Not impossible, just you will want to be careful...

I'm definitely in. There's a road on the way up to the Palomar Mountain Observatory...S6 (Grade Rd) that looks like it just HAS to be driven! : )

Okay...now I'm definitely not going.
Since I wrote the above post, I've developed a lower chain rattle that needs to be dealt with so I'm pulling the motor out on Saturday. It'd be pretty impressive if I got it back together by the 3rd! Hey, I'm good...just not
that good!
Oh...and I was in the neighborhood on Saturday, so I got a chance to meet Les and see his shop.

So who's in? I don't know If I'm up to getting all the way to Palomar Mountain. But I would like to meet up at Tom's farms in Corona. The foods good there and it's a cool hangout on the weekends with a pretty good crowd. There are some old roads around there that head into the hills. Maybe meet at Tom's Farms at 9am? 10?
So who's in?

Sorry, Ron...but I'm out. The engine is on a stand at the moment in need of a lower chain. Definitely not going to have it back in by this weekend... Have fun!!!
