Hi Gang,

Here's the before and after with the old Libre (fakes - which will soon be for sale w/ the Goodyear Wingfoot tires) and the new Superlites w/ the Falken Azenzi RT-615's: http://www.priorityequipment.com/wheels.html

Personally, I like the look of the new ones better (still need to put some tire shine on though). After viewing the photo, some new Mike Young springs are in my future. Also, when the car is eventually painted silver, I think the new Superlites will really stand out.

Very nice. I like the look of those wheels a lot. Any rubbing issues on sharp corners? If you do go with the MY springs I'll be interested to know if that creates a rubbing problem in the front.

Very nice looking rims. I just added Pack Racing as a vendor yesterday. They seem like real nice folks. Some day I will get a set.

I just installed Superlites on my 67.5 2000. I had to remove some material from the front hubs because the wheels would not lie flat on the face. Thanks to the folks who caught this on their cars. I used a die grinder and it only took about 15 minutes. I decided to remove material from the hubs instead of all four wheels. The wheels look great with the Falken Azenas 615 rt tires. My five year restoration is almost done! Only need the seats to get done by the upholsterer.

And what is the deal with the Superlites? What exactly are people trimming from the wheel? The inside diamter of the front hub on the outside face, or the entire depth of the hub from outside to in?

The hub housing?, part that holds wheel bearings where it meets the flat surface that the four lug bolts attach to has a slight shoulder that comes out from the flat surface about 1/8 " that creates a slightly larger diameter than the hole of the wheel that fits over the hub. I only had to remove this little bit of shoulder. Not difficult and you don't need to remove much to make the wheel fit, but could be a pain without the right metal removing tools. Roadsters can be a pain in the butt, but always worth it.

I still don't get it...on this picture is the trimming needed on the outside(yellow arrow) or inside(blue arrow)? Or something totally different?

Not the wheel, Alvin. The front hub of the car where you bolt the wheel to. Only needs to be done to the front. The rear brake drums present no problem. Really need a pic to save a thousand words, but so short on time. Maybe someone else has a pic?
