I have heard that Greyhound will do it, but have no experience with them. Best of luck! Make sure to post the final result.

Greyhound delivered my 2 leather Porsche seats to me in pretty good fashion from Florida. Forget the lbs., but the thing cost me $80 to ship. A hardtop weighs less than 2 seats I can tell you that.
The box has to be big enough to store underneath the storage bay in the bottom of the buss.
Second you have to drop and pick up at the bus station. They don't bring it to the house.
However since it is a hardtop, have the guy pickup and install on his car when he gets it. No need for a truck or hauling a big azz box home too.

Thank you both for the suggestion ..
I will check out greyhound..
I did hear that from a friend of mine...
The place that I went to..wanted to charge me 375.00 for crating it..
and almost 400.00 to ship it...
I could rent a car and drive the hardtop to tacoma for less than that...
I shipped one by Grayhound $75

I've had great success with the 'hound, too. Package it really well and provide some nice cut outs in the cardboard for them to get a handhold. Most of the drivers are not as agile as a UPS type...Make sure the buyer knows that they will have to get down to the bus station for pick up...TR
