Steve, when is the next run in the SR area?

Are we going to try to get one in before winter? Is it possible that we slacked all summer?

Yeah, I am slacking big time. Work has kept me slammed and I am most likely relocating back to the mid-west next spring. I took my runnng roadster back there. It is sitting in my brand new shop close to a very big lake in southern Iowa. Clear Lake can kiss my backside. How is the turbo running these days? Talk to you.

I'm really sad to hear you are heading out of here but I can understand why you would be giving up on Lake County...

Brand new shop? That sounds very nice, please share pics!

Roadster is running great, still ugly as sin, though. 510 is very close to running, if all goes well with it over the next 6 months or so, the tear down and cosmetic resto of the roadster will begin!

I uploaded a few pictures of the new shop to the album. It is 30 x 40 and will have a fully functional bathrrom complete with a shower. I am also installing a lift so I do not have to crawl around on the floor.

I am a mid-western boy at heart and love it back there including the winters. Plus I built that shop for a fraction of what it would cost on either coast.

Spent 7 years in the Bay Area, then 13 in Hawai'i. After 17 years, I still hate the Annual Pacific NW Rain Festival. That said, Debbie loves it, sooooooo....

Not trying to rub it in Pete just trying to make a valid point. I had an Amish contractor put the building up and I must say they did a first class job.

Oh let the jealousy begin!! Steve that looks great, I have wanted to get a few acres so I can build a shop with a lift and I had to give in and get a pool this year!!

Sad to hear you are leaving California, but I bet you wont miss the traffic!!

Yeah Lou, shop turned out pretty nice. Boy, this one really got off topic didn't it! Where is that damned moderator when you need one? The nice thing about the internet is that it does not care where you are. I can manage this here web site and forum from any where in the world.

Steve, are you going to change your signature to " and other Datsuns in the SHOP, that is no shed.. Nice shop. If needed, what kind of heating will you use. I wish it was in my back yard. One roadster for each bay.. now we're talking.. Bill

Gosh, I do not intend to be bragging but I could probably put a dozen roadsters in there with room to spare. Heat will most likely be a wood burner with a fan to disperse the heat. We still have quite a bit to do. I plan on drywalling the interior walls and ceilings and putting in insulation. Build some work benches. We have a 200 amp service so powering everything should not be a problem. Need to get the bathroom done as well complete with a shower, wash basin, toilet, and a stacked washer/dryer combo. We can get those cheap from a local guy-$150.00. Gotta have clean rags in the shop right?? And, oh yeah-internet service.

Yeah, you definitely have to have insurance back there as the weather does get wild on ocassion. Pretty late season this year. I will definitely have a storm shelter of some type. Buidlings can be replaced but checking out is for good.

I really like the new garage, droooll. Your a man after my own heart with the wood stove for heat I can see many a happy hour being spent there.
