Go to a machine shop and talk to them about it. There are some options - threadserts, helicoils etc. - that you can do at home. Fairly low pressure, so either could work fine...

Go with Helicoils but make sure that they are installed correctly. Stronger than original if done right.

The helicoils are a lifesaver, I stripped 3 0f 4 bolts on my brother's Hyundai brake calipers, drilled and helicoiled and better than new. Drilled and helicoiled the 4th one too, now has stainless steel threads.
The biggest trick is drilling the hole straight and taking your time with the tap. use oil, don't push too hard and for every 1/2 turn of the tap, back it 1/3 turn to break off the chips. It's harder to drill and tap the iron, but if you take your time it will work.
Other option, find someone who has done it, ask for help, buy them dinner.
