I recently bought my 1966 roadster and going to put a 429 Ford in it. The roadster has a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear end already. The roadster has had a 427 Ford in it at one time. The roadster has seen better days and the body needs some work but there is no rust in it. If you have any pointers about this let me know and I will be looking for a driver side door also.

and a parachute!
Good luck with the project. That's going to be one heck of a ride when it's finished!

THIS I gotta see! Post some pics of this altered beast! The closest I have seen to that was a Midget with a 396 Chevy in it...

Especially a 429 - what a behemoth of an engine! Should be fun to follow that swap!!

I am in the clean up stage right now. It has racing buckets in it and some kind of fugly carpet. Going to take that out tomorrow. I still need some 429 tunnel ram and carbs to put the motor together. I gotta figure out where to get my fenderwell headers or maybe go the kit route and build them myself. I was looking on the site with the 302 roadster and it showed he put heavier front brakes on it. I have not inspected much on mine yet.
Thank you all for the praises and I will keep it all posted but I figure it will be a few years before its on the road. I like speed and I think this will be my final rod to build. I want to be the old man out there that shows the kids that want to race how it really done!!!!
More later keep those roadsters going!!!!!!
