1600 Airfilter / Cover replacement Edelbrock

Post by eastmedia »

Just met another Roadster owner cruising around town Sunday. He has a 68 handed down to him.

I noticed an unusual air cleaner cover and inquired. Well he works at Kragen Auto and thought one on the shelf looked like a close match and it fits!

It's Edelbrock #1236. Includes a Chrome cover, K&N filter and base plate that looks like it's for a chevy or something. $69.98 for the whole kit. A bit pricey, but if you don't have one...

If you want chrome, that is cool. If you don't have a 1600 aircleaner, they are plenty cheap. I have a few on the shelf. They typically sell for $10 - 15 on eBay. I don't recall them selling for more...

yeah, I thought it was kind of pricey too. Just always looking for options.

If one thing fits, something else must too. just gotta find it...
