Here is my Datsun Coupe 1600 as they were sold in Australia, but still badged, and better known as the Nissan Silvia.

I start drooling every time I see one of those steering wheels!
Nice car. I think there's...what? 2 Silvia's here in the USA?

Les Cannaday has one in Vista California, and I have seen pictures of a light blue one back east some where.

That light blue one is something special in the way of Silvias. It is a Silvia Patrol - an ex Japanese highway patrol car! It is believed to be the only one left as the police crushed them. Somehow this one slipped through the cracks and survives yet today. I got to ride shotgun in it at Road Atlanta. Quite fun! There is another Silvia in the US as well. It is owned by Rex and it is in Orlando Florida. His car has 20something thousand original miles and is completely original and unrestored. A true time capsule. It was at Road Atlanta too - you west coast guys ever get two Silvias together at an event? LOL! Anyway, they are both VERY nice cars for different reasons.
Now, in some of the old Datsun Roadster Reviews, there was a photo of a Silvia somewhere in the US, so there are likely more that are unknown to the main Roadster community.

there's one here in Vancouver that is apart and the owner has everything for it NOS in boxes. It helps when you run a Nissan parts department!

Senor Camo,
Is that a remote Vac Assist brake booster?

Yep.

I believe that the power brake booster is stock. If your brakes are poor, have you ensured that the pads, shoes, drums and rotors are all good? If so, then the booster may be leaking.

My old Silvia (Les' Car) didn't have a brake booster. It just ran a standard Roadster set-up.

Hmmm, I wonder if it was an option. I thought both Kurt's and Rex's cars had them, but I didn't have my camera so I could be mistaken.
