Side glass problem
The passenger side glass front roller popped out of its groove. It is pressed up against the outside of the groove and stuck in one spot. Window will only go down about half way. Any tips on getting that roller back in the groove? Thanks, Mark

I have a thought that may work. Remove the door panel (and inner handles and such). Look at the lower forward part of the door and there is a screw that attaches the lower post of the vent window. Remove that screw and the one on the vent window "tab". This will give you a little movement. You may be able to flex and giggle things to work. I have not done this, so I could be out in left field....

A solution from right field...
There is a rail (horizontal, adjacent to the seat) that is held in place with two screws. When removed the window regulator flops about fairly freely in the door. You may try loosening/removing the rail and trying to get the other roller back into its rail. Then replace the rail...
There is a plastic tab that is adjustable that controls the window stop point. It is very common to see these broken. Most likely it has broken and allowed your window to go too far...You'll need to replace it or you may be doing the same procedure again...TR

TR, that is a great tip! I had forgotten about that rail mounting. It has been a while since I was actually working on the windows...

Hey Sid,
You should probably wait and see if it works for Revbang before handing out the compliments! It is amazing how tricky it is to get a regulator working correctly. It is one thing to get them working on the floor, then screw them all around, contort your arm, get it in the door and..."How did that get upside down?!" I have had some real grudge matches with them before...
I think I am going to remove them from my car and weld the top of the door together...TR

I ended up fooling with it before I got back to my email. I ended up taking out the vent window so that the glass could scoot clear forward so that the front roller would "slip" (read "forced") back into the slot. Nothing was broken. I think what happened is when the car was painted they had removed the vent windows and had not reinstalled them properly. Thanks guys. Mark
