Yeah, I am thinking about it as a street car...The race parts on the car would make good spares...and if stays close to its current price it would be worth it...
The Diff and trans would be a great value. Although I think 3k for the trans is a bit steep...probably closer to 2k.

The last comp gearbox that I saw sell went for $2500 and needed synchros and bearings. I doubt that you could duplicate that car at $20k if you did all of the work yourself. The LSD is a grand by itself. Early solex carbs are worth a grand. The lower gearset is a couple of hundred or more. The comp suspension is the old stuff - the stuff that most folks want and pay more for than the newer stuff. It would probably cost $10k to duplicate the engine - maybe more. (remember that the ports and combustion chambers have been worked over - like Mark said, all of the racers that I have heard talk about Unger's Z car marvel at it's speed, so he knows what he is doing) The comp pans are going for $800+ from Nissan and I have seen used ones doing close to half that. The baffle is about the same price. Koni shocks - again, they go for more money than the currently available stuff. Whoever gets that car will be getting a beast of a Roadster...

Carefull Alvin. I'd say that car is worth atleast $15K with the parts on it. There has been a ton of work done to it, I'd bet it will spank a roadster with a KA or SR if that head flows as well as it can. That car is awesome, I wish it were mine.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

Give me a break.
My car isn't the topic here, it never was, it never will be. I said THAT car. It has a few things mine doesn't (the tranny, and the panhard bar, and currently a correctly ported and polished head.) How much did you spend to do your swap?

If anyone is seriously interested in this car and wants some more details or wants to come drive it this weekend send me an email (datsundoc@aol.com) and I'll send you my phone number. Thanks.
