2000 Back From The Body Shop

Post by okiedatsun »

I got my 2000 back from the body shop today. Had all of the bodywork done then had it painted Daytona Blue(350Z color). I am really impressed with the work. The guy initially said it would take him about a month to get it done, but he got it back to me in a week and a half. I will try and post pics tomorrow.

No trim for the sides just the hood and trunk, I think it looks cleaner. Thanks for all the compliments, bigt thanks to Crazy Backyard Builder for the wheels, they cleaned up really nice.

Some pics of the engine and tranny

Looks nice! I personally like the side trim on the Roadsters, but to each their own. Good color choice! I see that you have the Aussie fuel T fitting. It should be on the stud holding the intake to the head rather than on the stud on the insulator. It is a neat fitting as it lets you retain the use of the return line to the tank. If you can find pics of the red Aussie car that was on eBay, he has his on and it has all of the lines routed.

Nice color! My first roadster was a metallic blue. A '70 1600 in high school in the 80's.

Well, I would use the fuel return line, but someone soldered the tip closed  . I got the solexes from Nomadtrash, he said they came off of his old race car. Also got a B cam from him. The car will be done as soon as I can get it back together. Oh, and the engine bay is painted body color Alvin.

Thank you. The whole thing cost $4,000. This included all bodywork including replacing the drivers side rear quarter, misc. rust repair, final bodywork, and two stage paint.
