After Market Shift Boot and Trim Ring Update

Post by Tim »

Hi gentlemen,

I just wanted to pass this information on to you. I took Sid's advice and went over to E-by and found a 1968 MGB shifter boot and Chrome trim ring for $2.99. It looked somewhat rough but I figured for $2.99plus $4.00 shipping !!!, what do I have to loose. In spite of the looks from the picture, the boot appears to be readily usable, the chrome shift ring after being cleaned up is pitted, but may be usable until I find one that is clean. Most important though is the fact that Sid was absolutely correct. It is a perfect fit for my 68 roadster tunnel opening. It is almost the same exact size. It does look very good. Thanks Sid
