Anyone have a source for restoration of the Everwing fog lights? Had some sketchy work done by a (now closed) chrome shop. TIA

I stripped mine, they were painted a silver/grey, then painted them satin black ; looks fine.
Of course I would like them chromed but I only have 1 kidney left

A mistake often done is the reflective "bowl" of a headlamp/spot lamp is chromed. Done properly, they should be vapour aluminumized for its reflective surface. Chrome only has i think off the top of my head, a reflective percentage of about 60%. Its what modern lights are done with, even my old stock Nissan headlamps are.

Nickel used to be a common plating inside the reflectors too. I sent a pair of driving light reflectors to a shop but they were only able to get the forward half plated well. A fitted electrode would have been needed to get back into the whole reflector. I sold them on eBay & bought some new lights.
Peace, Pat
