Has anyone found a source for the closed style? I can find open ones.

Looking for same, I found for closed tops, push-pull action: smoothest is moving to a snap-style base, smooth with a bump (similar to your pics) for a post-style base. Likely you've seen Loxx a German and has SS to black, many tops w/smooth or textures or a small bump, push-pull or post latch. Pricy but small batch Loxx available on Amazon. I finally searched: "closed boat cover fasteners" found more options. Yet/however, none are an exact match to those pictured, if replacing just several.

Those are usually referred to as “lift the dote” snaps, so search for something like enclosed lift the dot snaps or something like that. Herb Petty used to sell them years ago, and I am pretty sure he was getting them from upholstery supply company here in the USA. Good luck, I hope you find some, it’s what I have on my top that I purchased from Herb back in 2006.
