Single piece molded carpet

Does anyone have experience with the single piece molded carpet? It seems easy if you have the interior gutted like I have. My only concern is the brush aluminum pieces on the side by the seats. The molded carpet might be too thick.

There is a 311s member a couple years back that bought one, he returned it. Scroll down to roysuecans two posts. Also on page one of this thread a 311s member with a 1973 Corolla bought the one piece and returned it as well.

When I replaced my carpets years ago (2004) I bought a complete multi-piece set from Dean (datsunparts.com), which also included a piece for the rear luggage shelf. He shows red kits, including a trunk piece for either the jack in the wheel well or jack on the back wall. My black set fit great; I also ordered the separate snaps to secure the carpets. Easy to install and doesn't ride up on the edges where the aluminum trim pieces are. Would definitely recommend that over a one-piece that appears to not fit well.

Years later (2020) I got the center console cover and lid cover from Dean and finished that off.

Piece by piece refresh of the interior over the years, including door panels, weatherstripping, etc.
