Suspension Rubber Kits?

Post by RonanA »

Hey everyone, reaching the point in my restoration where I'd like to replace all the old rubber mounts in my suspension/frame - anyone have any suggestions for where to find a fairly complete kit? Been scrolling through DatsunGarage and Datsun-Parts and haven't seen a kit that's really just focused at the rubber only - my shocks/springs/tie rods are all in excellent condition so I'm trying to avoid buying things I don't need haha

Appreciate the input! And the obligatory roadster photo:

I have never seen a complete rubber kit. Seems like you need to find the parts you want one at a time.

You can find most part numbers here: https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/sports-1965-1970

But this is not complete, and it takes a while to navigate to the correct diagrams

Once I find the part you want, google "Nissan part number" where part number is the part you want to find.

A good supplier of OEM parts is Megazip: https://www.megazip.net/

A lot of OEM parts are NLA, so you may have to find aftermarket replecements

Just an FYI, your rear spring shackle is installed incorrectly.

Thanks for the insight, looks like I'm putting it together one piece at a time!

Ah, hadn't caught that - yet another "sins of previous owner" post - that said, he (or she) certainly kept the car in excellent condition, I've only found a single spot of real rust. She'll be getting cleaned off and coated with a fresh pint of chassis paint here in the next few weeks, assuming the weather holds up!
