....do I have to "contribute to the cause"?

Serious inquiry. I have a box of stuff i no longer need but need to sell. I can't afford to do the "this is free for a contribution to the this site".

I see the big vendors advertsing on here. Do they contribute "to the cause"?

There's a member "Classified for Sale" section in the forum list. I couldn't see why it would be inappropriate to sell a box full of spare parts there without being listed as a vendor. That said, site donations aren't dictated amounts ... even small ones would likely be appreciated to help keep the site going.

Welcome! It's good of you to inquire. Steve (site guru and the reason we're here) does a lot of work to keep us up and running so smoothly, and he's not "makin bank" on this. He doesn't ask for any specific amount, it is voluntary, and I'm pretty confident that it's all reinvested back into the site that benefits us all. IMHO, If you're successful selling a few items (also a benefit to us!) consider chipping a couple of bucks, as it might bring good Karma your way...

Just list and sell your parts as normal...vendor or not.

Some people donate, some do not.

No one is going to shame you either way.

I've given stuff away here in the past, but asking for a donation instead of making a sale sounds amazing I should have done that!
