Entered my SRL311 in first car show

I enter My 1969 SRL-311 first time in a car show here in Colorado Spring,CO this last Sunday. It was a spectator Vote only Car Show.There were Hot Rods, Muscle cars, Porsche's, Early Ford Mustangs etc. And to my SURPRISE with all these beautiful cars entered, My little Datsun 2000 received 2nd Place Win! WOW was so excited to receive all these votes!

Thanks all for your Congrats. Defiantly a lot restoration hours in this little car over the years. I've owner my 2000 for 53 years. Many enjoyable years! Hopefully a few more in the future.

I can't imagine that sitting on a dealer lot unsold for 2 years.

No, I was the second owner, I purchased this car in 1971. I was 21 years old, driving my 1964 Plymouth Belvedere down Foothill Blvd (Route 66) about 1 am in the morning, in Duarte California and saw this Silver Sports Car on a Porsche Dealer's lot. I stop to take a look and fail in love. The next day I got my dad to come with me to take a look, he co-signed and I bought it.The original owner just traded the Datsun in for a new Porsche. I paid $1900 and it came with both Tops. My 2 son's love driving it also.
