So I got my first roadster in 2010. My 2 best friends had a silver 68 and a blue 67 back in the late 80’s. I spent a summer helping rebuild the 67. Well fast forward 2024 and I have 2 and a storage shed full of parts and motors and the like.
Now we have moved home to Tampa and living in a town house and I am finally getting the Red one running.

So recently I had some work done by Glenn’s MG in St Petersburg. He could tell that the timing was 30° retarded just by listening to it. I guess he’s been working on these kind of cars for ever. After an About a month I come out with a completely cleaned and resealed, gas tank, new electric fuel pump, identification of a grounded, horn gremlin, and it’s running like a charm.

Recently noticed some increase in temperature and he had said that sounded like a bearing was going out well it was and the water pump out. After replacement cooling very well.

But noticed a charging gremlin. And luckily found an external voltage regulator from O’Reillys in stock made sure the ground was good and charging is right on the money. Installed a fusible link while working on the alternator And the water pump.

The entire time I drove the car I was getting killed by carbon monoxide because of an exhaust leak. I thought it was a leaking muffler. And over the weekend replace the exhaust system.

I had bought a stainless steel From JT and finally put it in. I had taken an old 1600 exhaust manifold to jet hot in North Carolina And had it ceramic coated and polished. So here are some photos.

Had to take out the starter to get the old one out. And had to them off the exhaust manifold to get the first portion of the pipe through the frame.

But it is pretty!!!

The old exhaust is mostly original except the glasspak at the end.

Found the exhaust leak. The #23 were cracked

Very impressive
I'll probably have to do all stainless when my systems rots out.
However, I'm hoping that will be some time away.
How does it sound?

Well put it back up on Jack stands and tightens up all the connections, much better seal.
While I was down I replaced the speedo cable. Running about 6 mph slow but tight and no bounce.
Also found the correct horn spring, replaced and hooked back the horns and the relay.
I’ll post to my Instagram page
