I'm looking for a shop in the Phoenix Az. area that can tune, balance/sync the SU style side draft carbs on my 1970 Datsun 1600 Roadster. Any suggestions? thx Keith

Thanks for the information, I'll check them out. So far, I've spoken with about a dozen shops and only one works on them, unfortunately he has a waiting list and isn't taking on new customers until September. Thx Keith

Have look in the tech wiki site. There is some very useful info there and it is not beyond the average enthusiast to do the work on the carbs.
There is not much to go wrong: most carbs just need a good clean and adjustment check to perform well.

If not already done, I would send the carbs to a rebuilder to have the shafts redone. These carbs are way too old not to have problems. If these are not right, lots of chasing your tail.

The carbs were rebuilt 1 year ago, I believe the fuel mix is to lean and needs adjustment and make sure the carbs are balanced and synced. In essence a fine tune. Just trying to find someone the is an expert at it. thx Keith
