I have not heard of any common problems other than rust and crud in the tanks. Obviously a leak of any kind is a problem!

If you have a leak, I recommend to treat the tank with a product from KBS Coatings: -
https://www.kbs-coatings.com.au/
They have a variety of kits available for different size tanks.
I used this one for a 45L tank: -

Just be sure to keep the fuel pickup tube sealed off to prevent it from getting clogged with the treatment

+1.
I have heard motorcyclists refer to this as "sloshing compound", as it coats the inside of rusty tanks, but then can also flow into welded (and then corroded) seams between inner and outer skins.

The post was a fake, he was talking about diesel fuel seeping through the seams. There are no diesel roadsters engines that I know of and on top of that his location was fake. It said London on his profile, stated LA in his post and I think his real location was Germany. All in all seems like it’s pretty much a scam. I reported it to Steve and Greg had already caught it and shut it down.

Makes sense! I did wonder about the diesel statement but just thought he was a victim of auto-fill or something...
