I may be aquiring a 1968 1600 roadster (prettymuch a sure thing) and I want to get it on the road. engine is old and contition is unknown, but judging by looking at it, its probably not in the best of shape. so, I guess Im looking at an L transplant. what all is involved? Ive searched, but all the threads point me towards the article on the homepage which simply tells me to "buy the kit".
any plans out there for mount adapters? do I even need mount adapters? all I really want is an L16, 18 or maybe even 20, with dual SU's and a 5 speed behind it. Im quite familiar with L's in Z cars and have messed around with L's in 510s and trucks before.
also, anyone in the desert (PHX) have some body parts? looking for both front fenders and maybe a hood. somewhere along the line, it got mildly scrunched.

There is nothing too exotic about putting an L-series engine into a Roadster, but having a kit like the one listed on eBay right now will certainly make your life a lot easier...
What is your time worth? Even if those parts were $100-200, if it saves you a bunch of time monkeying around with setting the engine in the chassis correctly, then you are time and money ahead... IMHO.
Spend the money, get a kit, and put your efforts towards sorting out the rest of the swap...

If I were to buy this kit, would these mounts work for a KA if I decided to get crazy later on down the line? $50 aint bad. but I could have sworn Ive seen that kit on Ebay before, maybe it didnt sell?
Sorry about ranting about having to buy a kit, Im just used to Hybridz.org. no one over there pays for ANYTHING! HA ha!

No, the KA will not mount with that kit.
I had a L-series conversion kit on eBay a couple weeks ago, and it sold and is off to it's new owner in Florida.
This is a different kit, and a different seller.
