Which Shocks?

Post by Import_sounds-of-mid-GA »

What shocks would yall recomend for me just for the front?(remember, its lowered) I went up to Advance auto and they have KYB gas-a-just(think thats the name?) for $40ish. Good price or not? Should I look further?

I like the KYB's because they have a slighter better than stock feel, I have always purchased them through Summit Racing for about $30 each, give it a shot and good luck

Yeah, I used the Gas-Adjusts when I rebuilt my suspension. Summit has then a little cheaper as Lou said, but shipping will run around $10, so if you want to install them this weekend just buy them locally.

are the gas-adjusts stiffer than the GR2's? I think I have the GR2s right now, but I would like something a little stiffer but don't want to go to a full comp suspension.

Thanks

I beleive the Gas-A Justs are a bit stiffer, the GR2's are KYB's economy class shocks, and the Gas-A-Just are a perfomance notch higher than those!

Evan, if you search the forums you will find this subject discussed quite a bit, with lots of opinions on GR2's vs the Gas-A-Justs vs other stuff.

FWIW, I bought the GR2's (front & rear) from Summit for around $90 bucks including shipping. Some day I may even install 'em! :?

Check the yellow pages for plastic. Lowes and Home Depot may be more. I got a piece fairly cheap from a local plastics company...

Just do as Sid says, call around with the measurements. They all have a scrap pile of pieces too small to sell. You could get lucky.
