Just rescued SPL31106759 bought from a gentlemen in Lakeside, Montana. All wires pulled from back of the ignition switch. It is a 3 pronged switch. Which wire goes on what prong? Thanks in advance of any information. BTW SPL31106759 joins SRL31114093 in the stable. SRL currently undergoing complete frame off restoration. Will post pics when I learn how to do it.

Might try the Technical Wiki within this website. Go to Electrical (left side), go to Schematics: Wiring Diagrams. Curtis has prepared the most comprehensive electrical diagrams known-to-man, certainly roadsters.
Nice rescue, sounds like fun!

SPL311-06759 is in fair condition. surface rust mostly. Both fenders have about 4-5 sq inches of tin worm. Large complex dent in passenger door. Engine turns over. Very complete car with exception of the center armrest console. Will see Rallye about obtaining that. Pad on dash in excellent condition even though most of interior is trash. Top is trash but the mehanism works beautifully.

After pondering the problem, I think the starter wire would be the last from the beginning of the key turn, therefore the starter wire would go on the farthest away prong from the beginning of the key turn. That prong would be the one toward the driver side . I don't think the other two wires, BATTERY and IGNITION would have to be specifically located on the two remaining prongs. Comments? Many thanks to all who answered.

As I recall, the black wire hooks on the prong marked B, meaning battery. The black wire with a white trace stripe hooks on the prong marked IG, meaning ignition. The last wire a black with white trace and a green band hooks to the prong marked S, meaning starter.

One way to tell is with 2, 9v batteries, hooked neg to pos then disconnect the car batt. And hook the 9v s with no ICs no problem no amps to worry about it also points out weak conn.
VW techs used it ,as they liked to use 2,3 tan wires on a component

Or just use the drawing or schematic.

FYI, unfortunately Rallye is no longer in business. The website is up, but they have not been returning inquiries for a couple years.

You are the exception. Did they mention why they went dark? Hopefully not illness? I had a sizeable order with them that they acknowledged and that they would pull when back from vacation. (2+ years ago) All transpired via email. I never heard back from them after multiple attempts as well as many many other folks. I believe Dean surmised they may well still have 7 figures worth of inventory.

Well I heard that Dann is not healthy. His wife was doing it. I changed my switch to a Ron Francis IS-02 because I built a new harness with aux circuit. It will work with stock wires too.
